Hello! Today, I'm going to continue discussing our group's editing process and what we have included in our movie opener.
Mentioned in our last blogpost, we are still going to be using fonts like Chiller for our movie title "Do No Harm." As for problems we've faced while editing, we haven't faced anything new. It's basically the same issues that our group faced, mentioned from my last blogpost such as trying to amplify the actor's voices and suppressing the background noise. We are going to resolve that issue by overlaying the audio of the original with a voiceover. My group was able to record the necessary footage that we need in order to finish the movie opener. We were able to get clips such as the doctor dragging the body, the patient as unconscious, the doctor calling, and the patient answering her cellphone. For those certain clips like the doctor using her telephone and the patient's cell phone ringing, we are doing to add audio effects such as the beeps from the buttons being pressed and a ringing tone for the cellphone. We also added more eerie-like music to give more suspense to the overall atmosphere of the clips. Our members that aren’t editors, Veronica and Kamryn, contributed into deciding what sound effects we should use. As for video transitions, we are just using straights cuts and match-cuts to transition from one scene to another. We used some video effects such as light flickers and slow blinking for the unconscious patient. As for the time we spent on editing, we got to edit around two hours in total.
